A collection of java applets I've written. Most of them are simulations of various kinds and cellular automata.
- Simulation of a Gray-Scott reaction-diffusion system. An example of a mechanism for pattern formation.
- Simulation of a gas: release from a container and mixing. Examples of irreversible processes.
- Simulation of a system with a pendulum and two magnets. Example of a chaotic (i.e. unpredictable) system.
- Collective movement. Based on "Recipes for collective movement".
- Excitable media. A cellular automaton that models signal propagation.
- Forest fire. A cellular automaton.
- An illustration of relativistic time dilation.
- The voter model. A cellular automaton.
- Bouncing images - a rather silly way to display collections of images.
- Measuring time with music (Drake, S., The Role of Music in Galileo's Experiments. Scientific American, p. 98, June 1975.)
- Language generator - the java version of artist Mikael Lundberg's 'Språkgeneratorn' (the language generator). The java port was originally written for Svenska Dagbladet.
- Simulated ant trails - closely related to Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithms.
- Diffusion-Limited Aggregation (DLA) - a fractal growth process.
- Simulated slime moulds - social amoebae.
